My, isn't this year just flying by? We have all been surviving the terrible economy, the terrible weather, the hardship of other countries hit by nature. We are so very blessed that we have friends on the internet, which makes this world seem just a little smaller. You can always find a caring friend and reach out a hand or get a hand, if need be.
This brings me to a discussion on one of my Yahoo Groups. It seems once someone confessed at having little knowledge about their "New" embroidery machine, everyone started popping in to tell their stories of disaster. Just when I thought I was having a boring day, I would end up reading the tales and start laughing. Little did they know, but most of those accidents had actually already occurred in my home.
Well, we can't help with those disasters. But we can help lighten your load a little. Is anyone guilty of downloading for hours? Go from one site to another to get all the little freebies? Spend too much time searching those free hunts? Find you had already downloaded the design, not only once, but several times?
Now you are ready to look at those beautiful designs. Uh oh, they are all zipped. Gosh, they all have to be opened before you can see what you have. Once they are opened, it appears that you have all the designs in all the formats available. Oh no, now I need to go in and delete all the formats that I don't need. Thank goodness it only took four hours! Now to sort through them all and put them in the right categories! LOL
Does this sound like you or someone you know? Did you know that there is a very affordable software program (that is supported by a very nice man) available right now that can get that long hard task done in a matter of minutes?
Even better, once you have cleaned up your embroidery files, there is a very easy way to keep the designs so that you can find what you are looking for in short order!
You name one of your folders "New Downloads" . You now download all those new designs into that folder. When you are finished downloading all the hundreds of designs to this "New Design Folder", you dedup just that folder! Wonderful, now you have just what you need and you can quickly move each design into the category you have chosen.
