Hello Everyone! I have a new paper doll, Neil, to share and
I've put all my Paper Dolls on Sale 50% Off from
June 18th through June 24th. Neil is part of the Cuddle
Bunch series and comes with 5 outfits. Remember that the clothing in the Cuddle
Bunch series fits all the dolls in the series so make sure to check out Sophia,
Penny, Mindy, Billy, and Joey! These embroidered paper dolls are a hit with
little ones and they make great gifts, stocking stuffers,
or Card inserts!

Hint: Hints On Stitching Out Paper Doll
and Clothes
So many have asked about how to
make the paper dolls I thought I would send directions on how I do them. They
are quite easy to do and very addictive.
For the doll itself I use heavy
cutaway stabilizer with a piece of tulle on top. Right before the final satin stitch outline,
I put a piece of EZ felt (the stiff felt) under the doll. This gives the doll an added stability for
long-lasting play. Some use stabilizer
and felt with an extra layer of felt or Timtex before the final satin stitch. {Some
use tearaway or cutaway stabilizer and felt (in the color of the skin for the
doll.) They then skip the color for the skin and go to the next color and
proceed as usual. How you do it is really a matter of choice.}
For the clothes, the heavy cutaway
stabilizer and the tulle on top is all that's necessary. I personally don't like those too thick. Some
use stabilizer and regular felt for the clothes. Again it is a matter of
choice.
To put the clothes on the doll I
use a thin coat of tacky glue (Aleene's Tack it Over & Over} to the back of
the clothes. When this is dry, I apply
another coat of Aleene's Tack it Over & Over to the back of the clothes.
(You can get the Aleene's Tack it Over & Over at most craft stores)
Hope this helps. Thanks and Happy Stitching!!
