TIP: For best results with designs that use very small stitches, such as small letters, here are some things to keep in mind: Fabrics with more nap can hide parts of your stitches, so choose a smooth fabric. Shinier fabric usually has less nap. Set your tension as loose as possible to minimize stitch pull. Slow the speed of your machine down to decrease friction and prevent thread breakage. If you're embroidering letters, be sure to choose a font that is designed for small stitches, or one without a lot of tiny elements like serifs that can get lost.
