*~Candlewicking and Fuchsias~
http://www.kennykreations.com/products/105/candlewicking-and-fuchsias-qith/
Candlewicking is an embroidery technique where a combination of knots and backstitches were applied to white or cream colored fabric. The name originates from the American West, where women who were unable to get embroidery threads, used the thread intended for candle wicks to do their embroidery.
We have created an elegant candlewick collection based on a diagonal grid with a lovely thick chain stitch and candlewick knots, overlaid with beautiful fuchsia flowers and then quilted in the hoop. I have sewn them on a pale green dupioni silk.
The designs are available in 7 sizes: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12”. The 9” size can be sewn in the Bernina Jumbo Hoop (830); the 12” size is split for the Grand Dream/Majestic Hoops for Pfaff Creative Vision and Husqvarna Diamond, and for the Brother PR1000.
There is a free candlewick design to download from our home page:
We are also running a Buy Two Get Another One Free sale. Simply type celebration in the Coupon Box at Checkout and every third design in your shopping cart will be free.
